Sahar Shahali
Sahar is originally from Kermanshah, Iran. She obtained her B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Razi University (2015) and her M.Sc. in Biomechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science & Technology (2018). She started her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in August 2021 at Monash University.
Her project focus is to use Artificial Intelligence for Sperm analysis and selection to improve diagnostics and therapeutics. This technique is already aiding embryo selection in some fertility clinics and has also been applied in research laboratories to improve sperm analysis and selection. She will be looking into developing Real-time classification of normal and abnormal cells and improving motility analysis based on multi sperm cell tracking using machine learning algorithms. In her personal life, she is into photography, music, and physical activities. |
