My passion lies in food and water. I am currently doing my PhD (joint with AMNTL) on water and foodborne pathogen detection using microfluidic systems with ambition to revolutionize the effectiveness and efficiency of quality monitoring systems for drinking water, natural water environments and food streams primarily in developing countries.
I graduated from a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) from Monash University where I specialised in optical characterisation of microfluidic sensing systems for beach water quality monitoring. I have worked across several industries from government construction projects (Sunway Construction), food innovation consulting (Monash Food Innovation), milk quality control and management (Fonterra and Parmalat) to nanocellulose food-grade packaging research (BioPRIA). I have also achieved several academic awards in advanced engineering dynamics and advanced engineering design throughout my university studies. |
I also thrive in entrepreneurial ventures and have led several start-up teams such as a food business (Toast To Love), an online private tutoring service (Tutoroo) and an e-commerce fashion brand (Veritas Co). My personal interests are cooking, fitness, hiking and travelling.
